City of Thunder Bay Photos
I have included a few pictures of Thunder Bay on this page to allow folks from away a chance to get a feeling for it. 
I would be remiss in not featuring the best 55 Plus Centre in Canada. This is constantly contested by centres in other cities however seeing is believing so don’t drive past the city without checking this centre out. They serve a great lunch Monday to Friday. All are welcome.
No picture preview of the city would be complete without the Sleeping Giant. There are days when it seems so close you could reach out and touch it. Camping at the Sleeping Giant Provincial Park provides a real break from the day to day pace of life Although climbing to the head of the giant is not an adventure for the faint of heart. The park is a favourite camping spot for Thunder Bay residents.
The Hoito restaurant is famous.
It is a little bit of Finland
outside of Finland. One can
enjoy a great meal for a
reasonable price. This heritage
building has been serving
Thunder Bay and the Finnish
community since 1910.

Waverly Park is in the heart of the north side of Thunder Bay. Port Arthur Collegiate is a grand building standing guard over the park. The four historical churches located around the park make this area of the city one of the most scenic and an attraction for many visitors. Magnus theatre pictured below is Thunder Bay’s home to live theatre and is situated in the park.

Thunder Bay is a city of parks. I took these photos last fall when I was out for a walk with my famous dog, Nick. We were hiking in Centennial Park.
